News 11/17/11

It has been more than a month since our most recent update and MMCH apologies to our loyal following for the tardiness.

Since we last spoke to you, MMCH played opponents Northern Michigan, University of St. Thomas and the University of Iowa. During that time MMCH compiled a 2-4 record. Like past contests, a shortened bench proved to be the determining factor in each of the losses.

This upcoming weekend MMCH faces University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in a heated match up. The Blu-Golds will travel west on I-94 and head into Minneapolis for games at Mariucci Arena on Friday (10 pm) and Ridder Arena Saturday (9 pm).

News 10/13/11

This past week, MMCH's visit to the Kohl center in Madison, WI proved successful after defeating the Badgers 6-4 on Friday evening and 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. Both teams battled hard with momentum changing sides often. In the end, MMCH managed a series sweep and a comfortable ride home to Minneapolis.

Next week, MMCH travels to Marquette, MI to face the Panthers of Northern Michigan University. This marks yet another lengthy road trip as MMCH travels to the Upper Penisula with games Saturday night and Sunday morning.

News 10/7/11

MMCH's first road trip of the year to St. Louis to face Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville was a humbling experience as they suffered losses of 7-4 and 12-3 on Friday and Saturday night repsectively. Although the losses were fairly lobsided in favor of the Cougars, MMCH traveled with a very light contingent of players operating with two lines of forwards and four defensemen.

MMCH is looking to rebound this weekend against WCCHA conference rival Wisconsin when they head southeast and travel to Madison.
